Funeral Sevice  for Marisa Arakel(1925-20132)  will take place at  Oakwood Memorial Park Church  (22601 Lassen Street, Chatsworth CA 91311) on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at 10.00AM.

Marisa Arakel, born Marisa Keceoglu, September 7, 1925, in Evereg Turkey.  She was the daughter of Arshak and Anush Keceoglu.  Marisa had 1 brother, Tateos, and a sister Gulu.  In 1946 Marisa married the love of her life, Ohannes Arakel, and gave birth to two children, Kevork, and Carlo.  In 1965 Marisa and her family moved to Montreal Canada, where they resided for 13 years, until 1978 when Ohannes passed away.

While managing to raise a family, Marisa worked in the Garment Industry, for over 3 decades, as a seamstress, until she moved to California with her two sons in 1980.

 .

Marisa was a dedicated mother and grandmother, devoted to her family.  She would spend countless hours caring for her two grandchildren, Stephanie, and Natalie, while living with her youngest son Carlo.

 .

In 2006, Marisa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and continued to battle until the time of her passing on July 17, 2013.
