The Armenian Association of Film Critics and Cinema Journalists, the Benevolent fund of culture development, a number of other associations and entrepreneurs commenced on the organization of the first “Golden Apricot” International film festival in Armenia. The festival is supposed to have a main competition program (feature, documentary and animation films made 2002 onward), retrospective films of Armenian filmmakers and one or two of the best foreign film directors, films by students and debuts. Besides the participants we intend to invite some honorable guests – film directors, film critics, producers and other outstanding film-makers.
>A founding meeting will be held within the scope of the film festival where details and conditions of annual international film festival to be held in Yerevan starting the year 2005 will be discussed.
