.Los Angeles, CA – Vahe returns to the stage, but this time to direct. Baron Garbis – a play written in Armenian by Berberian – is a gripping new play laced with humor and powerful insight, taking us into the world of a man who has resisted the advances of time and the changes that come with it. In his mind, he is still in the ramparts of  Bourdj Hamoud defending his rigid moral values, but he feels his control slip through his fingers when his son brings up an old feud that the family has been avoiding for many years.

Tensions rise as three generations – Baron Garbis, his son Jirair and grandson Khajag – clash and layers of family history are peeled, laced with humor, stories of bravado, rage and ultimately love, that has kept the family together all
